ICV and MAPH visited earthquake places in Turkey
Last week, Peter Bhatti, Chairman of International Christian Voice (ICV) and Dr. Gezahgn Wordofa, President and founder of Multicultural Association of Perth Huron (MAPH), along with their teams visited two cities of Turkey Hatay and Antakya where more than 50,000 people have been killed and 1.5 million people have been displaced following a devastating earthquake earlier this year.
The purpose of their visit was to survey the damage in the aftermath of the earthquake, provide humanitarian support to the victims, and provide recommendations to the Canadian government on the aid requirements in the region. Multicultural Association of Perth Huron offering Earthquake relief and immigration support in Turkey
Multicultural Association of Perth Huron executive director Geza Wordofa and International Christian Voice volunteer Peter Bhatti shop for food to help feed families in Turkey who are living outdoors in tents after being displaced from their homes by the earthquakes that hit the region.
Members of the Multicultural Association of Perth Huron were on the ground in Turkey this week helping those displaced by the devastating earthquakes that hit parts of Turkey and Syria February 6 by distributing supplies and food donated by Stratford-area residents, as well as providing assistance to those hoping to resettle in Canada.Read More…
